About Me

❌ Your software is running on-premise, generating too much costs while not leveraging the power of modern cloud solutions?
❌ Your software is cloud-enabled or cloud-based but does not realize its full potential due to technical hurdles and/or lack of expertise?
❌ Your software is cloud-native but you are on the lookout to maintain and improve it?

My name is Tobias Czyzewski. I bring along many years of professional experience in AWS, DevOps and end-to-end software development. As a self-employed AWS Developer and Solutions Architect from North Germany I specialized myself in designing and developing effective, innovative and elegant cloud and software solutions for day-to-day contexts as well as challenging, highly complex problems. My strong passion to create something new and to understand complex contexts as a whole is coupled with high self-learning competence and sensible decision making. This skill set allows me to deliver solutions that do not only fulfil the task at hand, but also follow industry standards with scalability, cost effectiveness and future reliability in mind.

My education in computer science at Kiel University allowed me to gather comprehensive knowledge about the abstract foundations in computer science as well as hands-on experience in modern software development. Since 2020 I put my acquired skill set to work in a project that ultimately resulted in founding BidFlow Technologies - where I am the Managing Director to this day. At BidFlow Technologies we are trading the financial markets in different manual and fully automated ways. Developing its sophisticated tech stack over the course of the years allowed me to obtain versatile and in-depth know-how (cloud infrastructure, Big Data management, DevOps, distributed systems, backend/frontend development, data science and more) that is required to design and develop modern cloud and software solutions.

Through BidFlow Technologies, I am offering bespoke IT consultation and (cloud) development services.

11.12.2023 How to build a scalable execution environment for systematic trading

Trading the financial markets systematically with a purely data-driven approach requires a stable and scalable execution environment. This post discusses how the challenge of building such an execution environment can be tackled.

27.11.2023 How to build a scalable iOS notification app for cloud monitoring

Running a systematic trading business in the cloud poses different kinds of risk, from operational risks to technical risks. Taking care of technical errors in a timely manner can be crucial. This post discusses the details of designing and building a scalable iOS notification app to monitor business operations in real-time.

16.11.2023 How to build a scalable streaming data pipeline for financial big data

High-quality historical financial data offers a direct competitive advantage in the systematic trading business, but its big data qualities make it both costly to manage and store as well as very expensive to buy from external sources. To mitigate a part of these expenses, a custom, self-managed data lake can be built by recording and storing real-time financial data through a scalable streaming data pipeline.
